SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Actress Phylicia Rashad, known best for her role on "The Cosby Show," is the new spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, the U.S. weight-loss group says.
An unidentified Jenny Craig representative told People.com exclusively Friday that the 60-year-old actress would serve as the new face of the weight-loss and nutrition group.
"Jenny Craig confirms a new relationship with Phylicia Rashad," the representative said. "We look forward to sharing the details at a press conference in late January."
Rashad was just nominated for a Golden Globe best actress award for her role in the miniseries "A Raisin in the Sun."
People noted previous Jenny Craig spokeswomen include actresses Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli and rapper-actress Queen Latifah.
