STILLWATER, Minn., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Actress Jessica Lange and playwright companion Sam Shepard sold their estate in Stillwater, Minn., to a successful insurance executive, county records show.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Wednesday that Patrick and Jane Thiele paid $1.83 million for the 1892 Victorian home. Lange, a Cloquet, Minn., native, and Shepard paid $415,000 for it in 1994, raising their three children there for nine years.

Lange and Shepard had put the house up for sale for $3.3 million in 2004. They took it off the market for awhile and then listed it again this past summer.

Thiele is president and chief executive officer of PartnerRe Ltd., a reinsurance company in Bermuda.
