LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Singer and television personality Paula Abdul says she hasn't been staying in her Los Angeles home since an admirer died nearby last month.
Paula Goodspeed, an allegedly obsessed fan who auditioned for the fifth season of Abdul's show "American Idol," was found dead of a suspected suicide near the celebrity's house about three weeks ago. Police are still investigating the circumstances of Goodspeed's death.
"I've been staying in different homes and hotels, and I have security with me. ... I have my family, and I have my good friends who've completely opened their hearts and their doors to me, which is great," Abdul told People magazine. "It was very tragic and very upsetting to hear."
Abdul told the magazine she plans to sell her house and find a new permanent residence.
