LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's foundation has donated $100,000 to the Global Action for Children, the charity said.

"With the holiday season upon us, we hope the generous gift from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation inspires others to give and focus on assisting orphans and highly vulnerable children around the world," the organization's executive director, Jennifer Delaney, said in a statement issued to Usmagazine.com. "Each and every donation can truly make a difference in the life of a child."

Jolie and Pitt are the parents of six children, three of whom were adopted from various countries.
