Sources: Paltrow staying with billionaire

MIAMI, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is taking a break from her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, and staying with a U.S. billionaire, sources say.

The (Britain) Daily Mail said Saturday that instead of spending Thanksgiving with her British husband, the "Iron Man" actress allegedly enjoyed the holiday with billionaire Jeff Soffer.

The 36-year-old actress was previously linked to Soffer after she appeared at a Miami party two weeks ago to recognize the opening of the billionaire's Fontainebleu Hotel.

Paltrow's 31-year-old singer husband has been on tour with Coldplay in the United States, but was expected to spend the holiday with his family at the couple's home in London.

Despite such reports regarding the couple's holiday plans, Paltrow's spokesman Stephen Huvane has dismissed rumors of a marital split.

"(It's) rubbish, stemming from the fact that she will not make any public appearances with her husband," Huvane said.

The Mail said Paltrow and Martin have been married five years and have two children, Apple, 4, and Moses, 2.
