"The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign is one of the most recognizable charitable campaigns in the United States, giving toys to children, coats to the homeless and food to the hungry," the organization said in a news release. "Eleven years ago, the Salvation Army started a partnership with the Dallas Cowboys to launch the Red Kettle campaign during the halftime show of the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game. The campaign helps the Army serve 30 million people each year."

"Having recently moved to Texas, we can't think of a better way to support the Salvation Army than by kicking off the Red Kettle campaign with the Dallas Cowboys," Nick Jonas said in a statement. "It's a real honor to be a part of this great tradition."

In addition to contributing money in person, people can also make donations to the Jonas Brothers' virtual online kettle at www.salvationarmyusa.org
