Burke, Hough win Season 7 of 'DWTS'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Model Brooke Burke and her professional dance partner Derek Hough were declared the Season 7 winners of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

Burke and Hough beat out former boy band member Lance Bass and football great Warren Sapp and their partners to secure the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Asked how she felt after winning, Burke replied, "Unbelievable!"

The mother of four is best known as the host of the reality TV shows "Wild On!" and "Rock Star."


Walters to interview the Obamas

NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. President-elect Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have agreed to speak with Barbara Walters for an exclusive interview, ABC said Tuesday.

The talk is to air as a 1-hour ABC News special Wednesday on the network.

"The wide-ranging interview will focus on the failing economy, foreign policy, selection of top aides and the Obama family's transition to the White House, among other topics," ABC said in a news release.

Excerpts from the interview are to air across ABC News platforms, including "Good Morning America," "World News with Charles Gibson," ABC News Radio, ABC News NOW, ABCNEWS.com and ABC NewsOne.

MTV Europe Music Awards headed to Berlin

BERLIN, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards show is to take place in Berlin, MTV Networks International said Wednesday.

This is the fourth time the prize presentation will be staged in Germany.

"The inaugural MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Berlin in 1994 and we are proud to be invited to return as part of the city's 20th anniversary celebrations of the fall of the Berlin Wall," Richard Godfrey, senior vice president of content and music for MTV Networks International and the show's executive producer, said in a statement. "Not only will we be returning to the site of the very first MTV Europe Music Awards -- in front of the Brandenburg Gate -- but also taking advantage of Berlin's newest addition to the live music scene, the O2 World Arena."

"We are very excited that the MTV Europe Music Awards are returning to the city that has been home to MTV Networks in Germany for almost five years now. We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to live and work in one of the most popular capitals in the world," added Dan Ligtvoet, managing director of MTV Networks Germany.

Carson Daly's girlfriend is pregnant

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Carson Daly's publicist said the U.S. television personality's girlfriend Siri Pinter is pregnant with their first child.

Daly, a former host of MTV's "TRL," presides over the late-night talk show "Last Call With Carson Daly." Pinter is a "Last Call" staff member, a blog on NBC.com said.

"Carson is thrilled to be a father and they are looking forward to an extra special Thanksgiving this year with family and friends," Daly's representative Heather Lylis told People magazine.

The baby is due early next spring, Lylis said.
