Walters to interview the Obamas

NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- U.S. President-elect Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have agreed to speak with Barbara Walters for an exclusive interview, ABC said Tuesday.

The talk is to air as a 1-hour ABC News special Wednesday on the network.

"The wide-ranging interview will focus on the failing economy, foreign policy, selection of top aides and the Obama family's transition to the White House, among other topics," ABC said in a news release.

Excerpts from the interview are to air across ABC News platforms, including "Good Morning America," "World News with Charles Gibson," ABC News Radio, ABC News NOW, ABCNEWS.com and ABC NewsOne.
