CHICAGO, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Smashing Pumpkins postponed a concert set for Saturday in Chicago because Billy Corgan was ill.

Corgan began feeling sick during the Friday night concert at the Auditorium, The Chicago Tribune reported. After the show, the band decided to postpone the Saturday night show to Dec. 8.

Tickets held for Saturday's show will be good on the new date.

The Saturday night show was to be the end of a four-night stand in Chicago, with two performances each at the Auditorium and the Chicago Theater. The two nights had an arc with the first being "Black Sunshine" and the second "White Crosses."

All four shows were sold out.

Smashing Pumpkins began in Chicago as an alternative rock band in 1988. The group broke up in 2000, but Corgan brought it back together six years later.
