NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Tina Fey and Michael Phelps are among those to be interviewed for Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2008" U.S. television special, ABC said.

The hour-long ABC News special, highlighting some of the year's most prominent names in entertainment, sports, politics and pop culture, is to air Dec. 4.

Walters' Top 10 list also includes actor-producer-recording artist Will Smith, film star Tom Cruise, political commentator Rush Limbaugh and teen sensation Miley Cyrus.

ABC released only the names of six of the 10 honorees Wednesday, stating the No. 1 "Most Fascinating Person of 2008" is to be announced on the program.
