COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Scottish actor James McAvoy is among the men who will be vying for a European Film Awards best actor award this year in Denmark, the movie group says.
The BBC reported Sunday that EFA officials have nominated McAvoy for a best actor award for his work in the history piece "Atonement" alongside actress Keira Knightley.
Another actor in consideration for the award is Michael Fassbender, who earned a nod for his part in the Irish Republican Army drama "Hunger."
Kristin Scott Thomas's effort in "I've Loved You So Long" has earned her a nomination for best actress for the Dec. 6 event in Copenhagen, Denmark, the BBC said.
The British broadcaster said movies nominated for best picture at the 21st annual event include the comedy "Happy Go Lucky," the crime thriller "Gomorrah" and the French drama "The Class."
