HAMMOND, La., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Pop singer Britney Spears is back home in Kentwood, La., along with her two boys, Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, a source says.

The unidentified source said Spears was allowed to take her two children to her hometown Friday under an arrangement with her ex-husband, singer Kevin Federline, who has all custody rights to the boys, People magazine reported.

"This is a terrific indication of the progress she's made, and the growing trust between the two parents," the source said. "It was arranged cooperatively between Kevin and the lawyers."

The source said Spears, 26, who lost her custodial rights following numerous well-publicized incidents, wanted the boys to see her hometown now that they were older.

"Britney just wanted to get some family time in and show the boys Louisiana, now that they're getting older," the source told People.
