NEW YORK, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. actress and producer Sarah Jessica Parker says Kim Cattrall's confirmation of a "Sex and the City" sequel is premature.

Cattrall, who co-starred with Parker in the popular "Sex and the City" TV series and its big-screen follow-up, emphatically told a British talk show there will be a sequel to the hit movie, People.com said.

However, Parker, who was a producer on the show and film, told "Access Hollywood" in a statement that a sequel is still not definite.

"I'm thrilled to know Kim is excited, but all the deals are not yet done," Parker said. "With the wind on our heels, we hope to make it a reality."
