Bollywood filmmaker B.R. Chopra dead at 94

MUMBAI, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Bollywood director and producer B.R. Chopra has died in Mumbai at the age of 94, the BBC said.

The cause of his death was not reported.

Among the 30 films Baldev Raj (B.R.) Chopra produced were the 1957 release "Naya Daur" and the 1980 movie "The Burning Train." He also worked behind the camera on 1967's "Humraz" and the 1980 release "Insaf Ka Tarazu," and was the force behind the late 1980s TV series "Mahabharata."

Chopra's brother, Yash, and son, Ravi, are also filmmakers. Chopra is survived by two daughters, as well, the BBC said.
