NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- British actress Kate Winslet, who has been nominated for an Oscar five times but never won, said she would love to take home the coveted statuette some day.

The 33-year-old film star and married mother of two has earned nods for her work in "Sense and Sensibility," "Titanic," "Iris," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Little Children." Each time, however, the honor of winning has eluded her.

"Do I want it? You bet your (expletive) ass I do!" Winslet told Vanity Fair in an interview for the magazine's December issue. "I think that people assume that I don't care or don't want it or don't need it or something. It's hard to be there five times, and I'm only human, you know? But I don't go home and cry, because we're all grown-ups here."

Winslet will next be seen in the big-screen drama "Revolutionary Road," directed by her husband Sam Mendes and co-starring her "Titanic" leading man Leonardo DiCaprio.
