LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin gives her running mate, Sen. John McCain, high marks for his weekend performance on "Saturday Night Live."

Palin appeared on a previous episode of the sketch comedy show, and former "SNL" star and writer Tina Fey returned to her old stomping grounds this season to wide acclaim for her spot-on impersonation of Palin.

"He was great. He was just a pro at that!" Palin said of the Republican presidential hopeful in an interview with "Access Hollywood" and radio's "The Billy Bush Show."

"And we hope that Tina Fey keeps that Sarah Palin outfit that she has because we hope she'll be needing it a lot in the next four years. We'll give her some material."

Bush told Palin Fey has said she can't keep juggling "SNL" appearances with her writing, producing and acting duties on the sit-com "30 Rock," stating "SNL" will have to find someone else to play Palin if she and McCain win the election Tuesday.

"She's very talented and it's been nice to have that kind of levity in the campaign," Palin said. "I've really enjoyed it."

Asked if she would ever consider being the host of her own talk show as some people have suggested she might be suited, Palin replied: "What's interesting to me is knowing that my journalism degree could be put to good use somehow, some way."

For now, though, she said she is concentrating on the election.
