NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. pop-punk band Fall Out Boy says it believes it set the Guinness World Record for most radio interviews given in a 24-hour period by two people.

The Island Def Jam Music Group said Pete Wentz and Patrick Vaughn Stump gave 72 interviews Friday. Final certification is still to come from Guinness World Records after it reviews documentation of the feat.

Fall Out Boy is to release its third Island album, "Folie a Deux," Dec. 16.

The first single off it is "I Don't Care," the music video for which debuted on iTunes Sept. 25. It since has been accepted across all music video channels, including MTV and Fuse, the record label said.
