NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Cloris Leachman, the latest castoff from "Dancing with the Stars," said she has been asked to star in the Broadway musical version of "Young Frankenstein."

Leachman, 82, and her professional dance partner were voted off the TV competition show Tuesday night.

"It's fair, very fair," Leachman told Usmagazine.com of the decision.

Asked what she plans to do next, the actress revealed: "Actually, Mel Brooks called me this morning when I was in the bathtub. He wants me to come back to Broadway and take over my role in the musical 'Young Frankenstein.' But I have to go to Berlin to do ... 'Inglourious Basterds.' It's a Quentin Tarantino film. It's starring Brad Pitt. Then after, I would go back into the musical ... maybe."

Leachman played the iconic role of Frau Blucher in Brooks's 1974 non-musical film version of "Young Frankenstein."
