LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Dates have been set for Hollywood's 35th annual People's Choice nominations announcement and awards presentation, CBS said.

The 34th annual edition of the awards show was marred by the Writers Guild of America strike. Not wanting to cross a picket line, celebrities declined to attend the event, leaving the names of the absent winners to be announced in a pre-taped magazine-style program, which earned the lowest ratings in the awards presentation's history.

Nominees for the latest fan-voted prizes will be announced Nov. 10 and the awards handed out Jan. 7 during a live telecast on CBS from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Starting Nov. 10, fans can visit pcaVOTE.com to cast their votes, which will determine the winners announced during the telecast.

"The 35th annual People's Choice Awards continues to be the only award show voted on entirely by the public, setting it apart from all other shows of its kind," Fred Nelson, president of People's Choice, said in a statement. "On this one special night, our passionate voters are able to present their favorites in movies, music and television with the highest honor they can give."
