HONG KONG, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Malaysian movie star Christopher Lee and his real-life actress girlfriend Fann Wong are in talks to headline the Singaporean movie "The Wedding of the Year."
Variety.com reported the feature is a romantic comedy about the fan attention paid to a celebrity couple as they prepare to wed.
"There are four main characters, the couple and their managers, plus a number of cameo appearances," director Ekachai Uekrongtham told Variety. "We are just finishing the paperwork for our two stars and are looking at some regional casting, too. As we've done all the location scouting and their talent availability is set we should be good to go from mid-November."
The movie is expected to be released in Singapore in time for the Chinese New Year in late January, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
