OSLO, Norway, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Hollywood film star and singer Scarlett Johansson has agreed to act as co-host of the Nobel Peace Concert in Oslo this December.

Diana Ross is scheduled to headline the Dec. 11 concert, which is to take place the day after the Nobel prizes are handed out, the BBC said Tuesday.

Also slated to perform are international acts Julieta Venegas, Marit Larsen, Feist, Dierks Bentley and Seun Kuti.

Johansson, known for her roles in "Lost in Translation" and "Girl with a Pearl Earring," said in a statement that she was "truly honored" to be asked to take part in the event.

A second co-host for the concert is expected to be named in the next few weeks, the British broadcaster said.
