LONDON, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Madonna's publicist says the U.S. pop star and her British filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie haven't reached a settlement in their breakup.

Shortly after the couple confirmed their long-rumored plans to divorce last week, The Times of London quoted unnamed sources as saying Madonna had agreed to pay Ritchie $104 million in cash and property as part of a settlement ending their nearly 8-year marriage.

However, the BBC said Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg issued a statement saying no agreement regarding the division of their assets and how to share custody of their children has been finalized.

Ritchie's representatives declined to comment on reports a deal had been struck in his impending divorce from Madonna, the British broadcaster said.
