NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- British movie actor Rupert Everett reportedly will make his Broadway debut in the upcoming revival of Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit."

Everett's film credits include "My Best Friend's Wedding," "An Ideal Husband," "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "Shakespeare in Love."

The New York Times reported the actor will join the previously announced Christine Ebersole in the new production of Coward's play, which is to open in February.

Playbill.com said the most recent revival of the comedy was performed at the Neil Simon Theatre in 1987.
