LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The promoters of U.S. pop star Janet Jackson's tour said she's scheduled to resume performances this weekend after an illness forced her to cancel several gigs.
Jackson was briefly hospitalized in Montreal for an undisclosed reason late last month and subsequently canceled concert dates in Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia and Greensboro, N.C.
Live Nation said in a statement issued to "Access Hollywood" that Jackson plans to resume her tour Saturday in Uncasville, Conn.
"Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," Live Nation said in the statement.
