LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is in final talks to co-star with Scottish actor Gerard Butler in Frank Darabont's psychological thriller "Law Abiding Citizen."

Foxx is a former "In Living Color" player who went on to star in the films "Dreamgirls," "Ray," "Jarhead" and "Collateral."

Butler has acted in the movies "The Phantom of the Opera," "300" and "P.S. I Love You." He can be seen in the current release "RocknRolla."

Darabont's film credits include "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption."

The Hollywood Reporter said if negotiations work out, Foxx will co-star with Butler in "Citizen," a film Darabont is directing from a script he wrote with "The Thomas Crown Affair" scribe Kurt Wimmer.
