WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. adult entertainment producer Paul F. Little has been sentenced to 46 months in prison as a result of his conviction on multiple obscenity offenses.

Acting Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division Matthew Friedrich and Chief Postal Inspector Alexander Lazaroff made the announcement Friday.

U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bucklew for the Middle District of Florida also ordered Little to three years of supervised release following the completion of his prison sentence.

In addition, he was ordered to pay a $7,500 fine and told to forfeit the obscene films charged in the indictment, as well as all gross profits from the distribution of the films and the Internet domain names Little used as part of his business.

Little's adult entertainment company, MaxWorld Entertainment Inc., was also fined $7,500.

Little, 50, is a director, producer and star of pornographic DVDs and video clips.

In June 2008, a federal jury convicted him on charges that he, through MaxWorld Entertainment Inc., distributed obscene films through the U.S. mail.

Little is seen in his films engaging in violent and extreme sexual acts with female performers, officials said.

At trial, the jury also convicted Little of transmitting five obscene video clips over the Internet through the Web site http://www.maxhardcore.com/
