The BBC said "We Are Most Amused" at London's New Wimbledon Theatre next month is being staged to celebrate the Prince of Wales's 60th birthday and to raise money for the Prince's Trust. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are slated to attend the event, which will be broadcast on ITV1 shortly after it takes place. The show marks the first time in 25 years that Williams will perform on a British stage, the BBC said.
"The lineup will bring together the very best in comedy talent -- from much-loved established names to fresh young acts from the stand-up circuit," ITV said in a statement.
Williams is best known for his roles in the films "Popeye," "The World According to Garp," "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Hook," "Good Will Hunting," "RV" and "August Rush."
