TCM to honor late Paul Newman

Actor Paul Newman dies at age 83

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Turner Classic Movies has announced plans to honor late Hollywood screen icon Paul Newman with a 24-hour marathon of his movies.

The network said it will devote its entire schedule for Oct. 12 to Newman, who died of cancer last week at the age of 83.

Included in the lineup are "Cool Hand Luke," "Somebody Up There Likes Me," "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "Torn Curtain," "Exodus," "The Rack," "Until They Sail," "Hud," "Sweet Bird of Youth," "The Outrage" and "Rachel, Rachel."
