LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- MAZEfilms Inc. said it has completed "Cornered!," its first horror movie, and is now looking for a distributor.

MAZEfilms is an independent film production company based in Brussels, with a branch in Los Angeles. Starring Steve Guttenberg, James Duval, Eduardo Garcia and Elizabeth Nicole, "Cornered!" was made in the United States.

"First and foremost, viewers must be able to enjoy a movie, regardless of gore or dark undertones," the company's managing director, Daniel Maze, said in a statement. "That's why we added unexpected humor to 'Cornered!' and married it with a strong plot."

The horror movie is about a serial killer, who targets LA convenience stores, torturing and slaying victims in creative ways, then stealing surveillance tapes as trophies, the company said.

"It was fun, creative and it was something I got to do that I have never done before," Guttenberg said. "I'm happy to be here and make it work."

The actor, who recently competed on "Dancing with the Stars," has appeared in the films "Three Men and a Baby," "Cocoon" and "Police Academy."
