LONDON, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Britain's Daily Star newspaper has apologized to Sienna Miller for publishing a photo the film actress said violated her privacy.
The BBC said Miller also accepted payment of about $27,000 in damages as per an out-of-court settlement with the newspaper for running a picture taken in Los Angeles.
E! Online said the photo showed the actress as she was surrounded by photographers while waiting for an elevator in the lobby of a building.
The BBC quoted the Daily Star as saying in Tuesday's newspaper that it accepted she was "extremely harassed and distressed by persistent pursuit and intimidating tactics" used by the paparazzi.
"We apologize to Sienna for publishing this photograph," the newspaper said.
Miller, 26, has appeared in the films "Alfie," "Layer Cake," "Casanova," "Interview" and "Factory Girl." She is also known for her high-profile relationships with actors Jude Law and Balthazar Getty.
