LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Despite weekend photos showing Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman holding hands, the U.S. comedians are not a couple again, a publicist told Usmagazine.

Kimmel and Silverman, who broke up during the summer after dating for five years, were spotted holding hands at a Hollywood karaoke bar during the weekend.

"They remain close friends," a representative told Usmagazine.com.

In her acceptance speech at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month, Silverman said: "Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart -- Oh, who'll always have a place in my heart."
