LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Musician Travis Barker, who was injured in a Learjet crash last week, may leave the hospital in about two weeks, U.S. music producer Jermaine Dupri said.
Barker, former drummer for the band Blink 182, and the disc jockey known as Adam "D.J. AM" Goldstein were involved in a plane crash that left four people dead in South Carolina. Both Barker and the DJ sustained serious burns, but are expected to make a full recovery, doctors said.
The two are being treated at the Joseph Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga.
"He's doing good, he's going to be alright. He's just got a lot of healing to do," Dupri told People magazine Thursday night. "He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better. He's definitely feeling the love from everyone."
Dupri, singer Janet Jackson's boyfriend, said Barker's hospital room has been customized to make him as comfortable as possible.
"He's just now getting everything in the hospital set up for him -- iPods, computers, everything that he needs," Dupri, estimated Barker would be in the hospital another two weeks. He told People, "You got to make sure he is comfortable."
