LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Lisa Rinna said she has been hearing rumors that The CW may be looking to make a new version of her former nighttime soap "Melrose Place."

A spinoff of the teen drama "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose" ran from 1992 through 1999. The CW recently started airing an updated version of "90210" with a few original cast members in supporting roles.

"I've heard a rumor of them bringing back ('Melrose') like they did '90210,'" Rinna told E! News. "I heard that it's somewhere at The CW. ... I would do it in a heartbeat. ... Let's bring it on. 'Melrose,' 10 years later!"

Since "Melrose" ended its run, the actress has served as host of SoapNet's now-defunct series "Soap Talk" and acted as a red-carpet correspondent at awards shows for the TV Guide Channel.
