Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
NEW YORK, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Magician David Blaine Wednesday night completed his latest endurance challenge -- hanging upside down over the Wollman Rink in New York for 60 hours.
"The idea of enduring this position, of being upside down, of living upside down, of drinking upside down, of eating upside down. ... When I do these challenges where I push my body to the limit, it's almost like the magic is happening to me," the illusionist explained in a previously taped segment of the ABC television special "David Blaine: Dive of Death," which also captured live the final moments of Blaine's latest feat.
Asked about an hour before he finished the stunt how he could stand being upside down for so long, Blaine replied, "I think you just get used to it after a while."
The magician ended his endurance challenge with a 44-foot plunge while attached to a wire. He was then whisked back up in the air and appeared to disappear into the night sky.
Blaine previously has spent 63 hours enclosed in a block of ice in New York and 44 days in a glass cube dangling over the River Thames in London with no food.
