STUDIO CITY, Calif., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Britney Spears reportedly is selling her 7,500-square-foot Studio City, Calif., home for $7.9 million with the idea of heading somewhere with more privacy.

People.com reported the real estate listing described the hilltop property as an "exquisite gated Italian Renaissance-inspired villa" with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, three garages and a "grand entrance foyer."

The 26-year-old recording artist, who recently won a trio of MTV Video Music Awards, has called the mansion home for less than two years.

"Having more privacy and wide open spaces for her to raise her boys has been a goal for some time," someone close to Spears previously told People magazine.

Spears has two preschool-age sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
