Charlie Sheen's pregnant wife has surgery

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Brooke Mueller, the pregnant wife of Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen, has undergone emergency gall-bladder surgery, sources told E! News.

Mueller, who is in the first trimester of her pregnancy, was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles a little more than a week ago, the entertainment news Web site said.

Mueller looked like she was on the mend, however, when she and Sheen were photographed at the Emmy Awards Sunday night.

The couple married in May and recently announced they are expecting their first child together.

Sheen, the 42-year-old star of "Two and a Half Men," has two young daughters with his ex-wife, actress Denise Richards, and a 23-year-old daughter with his former girlfriend Paula Profitt.
