"I love doing 'Damages,'" Ivanek said in his acceptance speech. He then thanked the cast and crew, "especially Glenn Close and Ted Danson, without whom I'd be watching this at home."

"In Treatment" star Dianne Wiest won the statuette for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series, but was unable to accept it in person because she is currently starring in the stage play "All My Sons" in New York.

Also nominated for the supporting actress in a drama Emmy were Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson from "Grey's Anatomy," Candice Bergen from "Boston Legal" and Rachel Griffiths from "Brothers and Sisters."
