LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. actors David Duchovny and Demi Moore play a pretend couple in the movie "The Joneses," Moviehole.net says.

The cinematic Web site reported Thursday the pair will play the heads of a fake family sent into a neighborhood to serve as a marketing tool for a company. After immersing themselves into the neighborhood, they immediately become popular community members to secure their marketing influence.

Duchovny's character ultimately is thrust into emotional turmoil due to his counterfeit lifestyle, which includes the sexual advances of his fake daughter, played by actress Amber Heard.

Moviehole.net said former "American Gothic" star Gary Cole has also signed onto the Derrick Borte-directed project to play one of the family's new neighbors.
