NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has agreed to make his first appearance on the daytime talk show "The View," ABC said Thursday.

He is to discuss the Clinton Global Initiative on the episode airing Monday.

His appearance falls under the show's new "Red, White & View" campaign, "highlighting interviews and informational segments that promote civic responsibility in the upcoming election," ABC said in a news release.

Clinton is to be the only featured guest on Monday's show and he will be interviewed by hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd.
