Monday, December 7
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- The sets from several iconic U.S. television shows are to be incorporated into the stage designs for the upcoming Emmy Awards telecast, ABC said.
The prize presentation honoring the year's best in television is to take place Sunday in Los Angeles.
To help celebrate the Emmy Awards' 60th anniversary, familiar sets from some of television's most beloved shows like "Desperate Housewives," "Seinfeld," "The Simpsons," "The West Wing" and "M*A*S*H," will be recreated on stage.
"The visual aspects of a production serves as a touchstone for our memory and allow us to revisit our favorite moments in television," John Shaffner, chairman of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, said in a statement.
