BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres says she wants to help TV star Ryan Seacrest find love.

She asked the "American Idol" star during a taping of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" why he isn't married yet and if he would be interested in being fixed up with a fellow celebrity, People magazine reported Friday.

The talk of marriage on the NBC series came in the wake of DeGeneres' own marriage to longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi.

During the taping for Monday's episode, DeGeneres was focused on setting up Seacrest on a date with stars such as actresses Jennifer Aniston and Eva Mendes or singer Britney Spears.

"They don't know about this," DeGeneres said of the noted celebrity dating options, "but just as an idea of who would you choose out of these woman right here."

People magazine said in the end, Seacrest agreed to have DeGeneres play matchmaker for him and Mendes, who starred in "We Own the Night" and "Hitch."
