LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- The head of the Promises Foundation says Britney Spears and her family have donated an autographed painting of the pop singer to the Los Angeles charity.
Foundation Director Lisa Rogg said the artwork will be sold on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000, People magazine reported Friday.
Rogg said the donation from Spears and her family was very generous and should help to raise money for the charity, which funds behavioral health services to poor families.
"The Spears family gave us this painting out of their generosity," Rogg said. "It was their idea for the auction."
People said the painting comes with a letter of authenticity written by Spears's father Jamie. The letter confirms the oil painting was owned by the Spears family after being created by the Daniel Maltman Studio.
