Rep: Lindsay Lohan not engaged

NEW YORK, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the new heart-shaped ring the U.S. singer-actress has been wearing is a present to herself, not an engagement ring.

Rumors that Lohan was planning to wed have been swirling since her constant companion, disc jockey Samantha Ronson, reportedly announced to a crowd of clubgoers recently, "By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs. Ronson."

Lohan and Ronson have never confirmed they are a couple, although they are frequently photographed being affectionate with one another.

The talk of them getting married was further fueled when Lohan was seen this week wearing the heart-shaped bauble on her ring finger.

"She bought it herself. It's an antique ring that she found at an antique store in NYC," Lohan's representative told People magazine.
