J. Lo drops out of 'Runway' finale

NEW YORK, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum announced Friday that a foot injury has caused U.S. singer and actress Jennifer Lopez to drop out of the show's finale.

Lopez, who gave birth to twins earlier this year, was slated to be a guest judge on the reality competition show's last episode for Season 5, which was taped Friday at New York's Bryant Park during Fashion Week.

"Access Hollywood" said Klum announced Friday morning that Lopez would not be appearing on the show "due to a foot injury."

The entertainment news program said it was unclear whether Lopez's hurt foot was related to her training for a triathlon in Malibu this weekend.

"Runway" style expert Tim Gunn took over Lopez's duties as judge, "Access Hollywood" said.
