Laila Ali gives birth to baby boy

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- U.S. boxer and television personality Laila Ali announced Thursday on her Web site that she has given birth to a son.

Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr. was born Aug. 26.

"He's a healthy baby boy who weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 19 inches long," Ali wrote on her Web site. "Mama and baby are resting."

The youngest daughter of Veronica Porsche Anderson and boxing legend Muhammad Ali, Laila Ali was a finalist on "Dancing with the Stars" and is currently co-host of "American Gladiators."

Curtis is her first child with her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway. The couple married in July 2007.
