NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson reportedly had technical difficulties and stopped singing for a moment while performing on "Good Morning America."

The pop singer appeared on the show, which tapes in New York, to promote her new country album "Do You Know."

Newsday.com said Simpson on Tuesday sang her single "Come On Over" without incident but stopped shortly after starting her second song, "With You."

"Hold on," Simpson said. "I know this is live TV but I can't hear anything. Do it again."

Newsday.com said her band started the song over again and Simpson carried on with her performance.

"It's just a natural place for me," Simpson said of country music during an interview with "GMA" before her performance. "I've always been a country girl, so it feels good being on stage and being myself."
