Casta to be face of Lauren's 'Notorious'

NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- French model and actress Laetitia Casta is to be the face of "Notorious," Ralph Lauren's newest women's fragrance, Ralph Lauren Fragrances announced Wednesday.

The perfume debuts in the United States this month with a print campaign starring Casta, plus a "Notorious" commercial film, directed by Hong Kong-based filmmaker Wong Kar-wai, the company said.

"Laetitia's glamor, daring and powerful femininity make her the perfect face for this seductive fragrance," Guillaume de Lesquen, president of Ralph Lauren Fragrances, said in a statement. "She is classically beautiful, but lives her life in a completely modern way. Laetitia is 'Notorious.'"

The star of "Asterix et Obelix contre Cesar" and "Les Ames Fortes" is also the mother of two children, Sahteene and Orlando. She and her family live in Paris.

Her latest film, "Nee en 68," is to be released on television and has won the Golden Swann of the Cabourg Film Festival in France, Ralph Lauren Fragrances said.
