Linkin Park wins VMA for Rock Video

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Linkin Park won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Rock Video for "Shadow of the Day" in Los Angeles Sunday night.

The band beat out Paramore, Slipknot, Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy for the honor.

The Pussycat Dolls won the prize for Best Dancing in a Video for "When I Grow Up," while Tokio Hotel was named Best New Artist.

Lil Wayne won the award for Best Hip Hop Video for "Lollipop." Also nominated in the category were works by Lupe Fiasco, Flo Rida, Mary J. Blige and Kanye West.
