LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Chris Brown won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Male Video for his song "With You" in Los Angeles Sunday night.

Actress Demi Moore presented the 19-year-old recording artist with the moon man at the star-studded ceremony. Also nominated for the award were Flo Rida, T.I., Usher and Lil Wayne.

"Personally, I didn't think I deserved this award," said Brown, who was dressed sharply in dark pants, white shirt and jacket and a bright blue tie. "I just want to thank all my fans, everybody at Jive ... my mom, God, everybody. ... I appreciate everybody, all my fans. I love you. I thank you."

Earlier in the evening, Britney Spears won her first-ever VMA for Best Female Video for "Piece of Me."
