LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- German actress Diane Kruger says she has landed a role in Quentin Tarantino's new World War II picture "Inglourious Basterds."

The film reunites her with her "Troy" co-star Brad Pitt, who reportedly has already signed on for the lead in "Basterds."

"I just found out I'm going to do (Quentin) Tarantino's next film with Brad Pitt," Kruger told People magazine. "I'm very excited. Quentin just called. I play a German movie star but I don't want to give too much away."

Kruger's other film credits include "Wicker Park," "National Treasure" and its sequel "National Treasure: Book of Secrets."
